The Bike Show
Think car show, but with bikes!
The public is invited to bring a bike or bikes to Gandy Park. With a lane of show bikes to peruse, spectators are sure to find a favorite.
HOW TO SHOW YOUR BIKE:
Register your bike here or register on site beginning at 9:30 a.m. There will be a mini-stage you may roll your bike onto and tell your story and take questions.
Prizes: Best in Show and Best Bike Story. Spectators and exhibitors can vote.
Unicycle, bicycle, tricycle, kick bike, pedal-powered or e-bike, Amish scooter bike, cargo bike or taxi bike. Cruiser, road, touring, or racing bike. Mountain bike, gravel bike, or fat tire bike. Vintage, classic, custom or an unusual bike, we'd love to see it.
Pie & Ice Cream Social
The annual Pie & Ice Cream Social, a fundraiser for the Frederic Area Historical Society, anchors the north end of the Expo at the Soo Line Depot. More bikes, including a penny-farthing hi-wheeler, on display.
Kids Bike Fix-up Trade-up
A parent can trade-up a kid’s bike to the next larger size for $10. Bring in a gently used bike and leave with a larger one. Subject to availability.
Made possible by a group of volunteers from Frederic Community Education’s Bike Lab class and monetary donation from Cycling Without Age. The Expo is all about fostering a cycling culture – start ‘em early.
2026 Participants
As a lead sponsor, Friends of Gandy Dancer advocates for people-powered (hiking, cycling, birding) as means of conveyance on the Gandy Dancer State Trail in NW Wisconsin.

Lake County Pedalers will have their August 15th Ride to the BikeShowExpo and at their booth give prizes to all others that come by bike. Read more about the Pedalers and their
summer and fall ride schedule.
Cycling Without Age, Gandy Dancer Chapter will show its trishaws; three-wheeled cargo bikes; bench seat up front for precious cargo with pedaler/pilot behind. We have a Dutch VanRaam and a Triobike Taxi from Copenhagen Cycles. Pilot training for volunteers and a conference of regional CWA chapters will be held, read more.
Frances Has
a Unicycle
Frances has many unicycles … Frances teaches unicycling for all ages, drawing out the brain’s inner balancing ability and she will be showing a dozen or more unicycles including one with a training wheel.
